The Fringed Loafers are a pair of shoes in the Splatoon series.
In Splatoon 2, they are a 2-star item produced by amiibo and come with the primary ability Bomb Defense Up DX. They are only available from the Inkling Girl 2 amiibo. They cannot be ordered from another player.
In Splatoon 3, they are a 1-star item produced by amiibo and come with the primary ability Sub Resistance Up. They are only available from the Inkling Girl 2 amiibo. They cannot be ordered from another player.
The item was called Fringed Loafers in Splatoon 2 and was split into the items Base Fringed Loafers and Baggy-Sock Fringe Loafs in Splatoon 3.
Appearance
The Fringed Loafers are formal, brown leather loafers.
In Splatoon 2, they also come with socks only if worn by girls. In Splatoon 3, said variant with socks and the sockless variant come as separate pieces of gear (known as Baggy-Sock Fringe Loafs and Base Fringed Loafers in that game, respectively), both of which can be worn regardless of the wearer's style.

Abilities
The Fringed Loafers come with Bomb Defense Up DX as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Fringed Loafers come with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since they are made by the amiibo gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Abilities
The Fringed Loafers come with Sub Resistance Up as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Fringed Loafers come with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since they are made by the amiibo gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.
