Zombie vs. Skeleton vs. Ghost, also known as Splatoween, is an upcoming Splatfest event in Splatoon 3. It will be the second Splatfest to take place during Drizzle Season 2023 and was announced on social networks on 13 October 2023.

Details

Splatsville's unique decoration and other features for Splatoween.

In addition to the normal changes during Splatfest, there will be unique changes:

• Splatsville and Inkopolis Plaza will be decorated with a Halloween theme.
• Deep Cut and the Squid Sisters will wear special outfits.
  • Shiver's shawl is black with red outlines. Her pants are shorter with red details fading into her skin tone, which appears to glow a pale-ghostly color periodically, and her shoes change to black sandals with red straps. Her tentacles are black fading to red, and in them she wears hair sticks and a red spider lily, a symbol for death in many East Asian cultures. She has red eye shadow and black lipstick. Her octopus pendant changes to Deep Cut's logo. She also changes her fan to one that is white with red stripes, and has the swirls from Deep Cut's logo across it.
  • Frye's turtleneck is black, and her shawl is replaced with a silver shoulder necklace. She wears similar jewelry on her head, as well as bracelets on her right arm, rings on her toes, and triangular earrings. Her squid pendant also changes to Deep Cut's logo. Her tentacles are black fading to a light orange, and her hat is replaced with a shell that resembles bones. Her pants are black and have many big holes on the right side which reveal that she is wearing bright purple leggings underneath. Her socks are replaced with black straps and silver chains. Her eyelashes are now purple fading to orange, and her eyes fade from their usual color to purple.
  • Big Man wears a large sheet sewn to his size with various holes around his face and body to replicate a ray. His hat is replaced with what appears to be driftwood.
  • Callie and Marie's usual outfits are now orange in a corduroy fabric with black stripes and collars. Their hats are light green, they wear makeup resembling stitches around their eyes, and their noses are painted black, resembling skeletons. Their eyes are red instead of their usual gold.
• Jellyfish in the plaza wear orange, purple and green party hats decorated with various patterns.
• A special news article in the Nintendo Switch news rewards players with four unique pieces of headgear:

• This Splatfest’s social media announcement occurred on October 13th, which coincided with Friday the 13th. This date is considered an unlucky day in Western superstition and is also the name of a well-known horror film franchise.
• The eye socket in the skull on this Splatfest's official artwork has the same shape as the Tentatek logo, which replicates Inklings' eye mask.
• This Splatfest marks the first time idols' ink colors do not match the colors of their respective teams.
  • Shiver's ink color is black with red accents instead of green with presumably purple accents.
  • Frye's ink color is black with blue-purple and yellow accents instead of yellow-orange with presumably teal accents.
  • The Squid Sisters' ink colors are orange instead of randomly matching the ink colors of two of the Splatfest teams, despite the stages behind them still changing in color every time the player re-enters the Plaza.
