• This Splatfest's first two options are the same as those of the very first Splatfest in the Splatoon series, Rice vs. Bread, which occurred on 13 June 2015 in Japan in Splatoon (albeit with the order of the options swapped, and the theme question being different).
• This is the seventh Splatfest in Splatoon 3 to have a food theme, following Spicy vs. Sweet vs. Sour, Dark Chocolate vs. Milk Chocolate vs. White Chocolate, Vanilla vs. Strawberry vs. Mint Chip, Kaiten-yaki vs. Ōban-yaki vs. Imagawa-yaki, Red Bean Paste vs. Custard vs. Whipped Cream, and Lightly Salted vs. Consommé vs. Salted Seaweed.
