Draft for Weapon Strategy Main Page

Keep in mind that this is not exactly how it will look. It will still have the similar look but information about the weapon may be different.

Weapons in the Splatoon series are very different compared to others. While some weapons are faster and deal less damage, others can be slow and deal a heavy amount of damage. Their kits also can change a weapon from being a slayer, to a supportive loadout. All weapons can still be used effectively in battle.

Shooters

Shooters are automatic and continuously shoot ink by holding ZR. Shooters are generally more effective at dealing damage than other weapon classes such as a Roller.

Name Variants
S2 Sploosh-o-matic promo render.jpg
Sploosh-o-matic
Sploosh-o-matic The weapon has a very lackluster kit. Curling Bombs are ineffective at pushing and Splashdown is unreliable.

Neo Sploosh-o-matic The weapon is slightly better than its vanilla variant. Squid Beakons are inefficient at pushing but do help on specific stages, and the cheap Tenta Missiles apply pressure to the other team.

Sploosh-o-matic 7 Considered the best variant of the three. The Splat Bomb helps poke at opponents and the Ultra Stamp helps with the Sploosh-o-matic 7's slayer role

S2 Splattershot Jr. promo render.jpg
Splattershot Jr.
The Splattershot Jr. can spam Splat Bombs with less Ink Saver (Sub) than other weapons, and has a cheap Ink Armor to support the team.

The Custom Splattershot Jr. can spam both Autobombs with its larger ink tank, and Ink storm, with the cheap special gauge requirement and turfing.

The Kensa Splattershot Jr. has what is considered one of the best kits to instapop bubbles. The Torpedos can instantly pop bubbles if used properly, making the weapon very strong.

S2 Splash-o-matic promo render.jpg
Splash-o-matic
The Splash-o-matic has Toxic Mist which is not the best sub to have, the weapon could farm Inkjets quickly, giving the weapon a more aggressive option.

The Neo Splash-o-matic has a supportive kit. Burst Bombs help the weapon be more mobile and the Suction Bomb Launcher helps take back map control.

S2 Aerospray MG promo render.jpg
Aerospray
The Aerospray MG can turf well with the main, sub, and special making the weapon strong on some Splat Zones maps. The weapon itself, however is very weak and is unreliable at splatting.

The Aerospray RG still shares the weakness of its MG variant, but instead has a quick Baller to pressure opponents. Sprinkler however is mediocre to have on the weapon.

The Aerospray PG is considered the best of the Aerosprays. Burst Bombs help combo with the Aerospray's poor damage, and Booyah Bomb helps the weapon turf more safely.

S2 Splattershot promo render.jpg
Splattershot
Splattershot While not the best, the weapon is still versitile. Burst Bombs help with finishing off opponents, but Splashdown does not help the weapon much.

The Tentatek Splattershot is a weapon with a slayer kit. It has a Splat Bomb useful to poke with, and Inkjet to splat opponents.

The Kensa Splattershot instead of the others, has a supportive loudout with Suction Bombs and Tenta Missiles to pressure opponents.

S2 .52 Gal promo render.jpg
.52 Gal
The .52 Gal while having Baller quickly can be useful, the Point Sensor makes the weapon worse as it is not a bomb and a bomb is needed for short-ranged weapons.

The .52 Gal Deco is considered worse than the vanilla variant. Curling Bomb is not as lethal as other bombs and Sting Ray is not the best to have on a short-ranged weapon.

The Kensa .52 Gal with its Splash Wall, while not as lethal as bombs, can protect the user from other short-ranged weapons, and the Booyah Bomb can help the weapon survive.

S2 N-ZAP '85 promo render.jpg
.N-ZAP
The N-ZAP '85 has Suction Bombs which are useful to poke with, and the weapon can farm Ink Armors quickly, making the weapon a great support.

The N-ZAP '89 while not as useful as other its 85 variant, still can be used. Autobombs while not as useful as a Splat or Suction Bomb can still poke, and the weapon can farm Tenta Missiles. The weapon however is outclassed by other Tenta Missile weapons such as a the Kensa Splattershot.

The N-ZAP '83 is able to farm Ink Storms quickly with its cheap special gauge requirement. Sprinklers also help contribute to special building. However, farming Ink Storms is not as effective as farming other special weapons because while the Ink Storm is active, the special gauge cannot be increased.

S2 Splattershot Pro promo render.jpg
.Splattershot Pro
The Splattershot Pro can farm Ink Storms but lack a lethal bomb. However the weapon is outclassed by other weapons that have mid-range and Ink Storm, such as the Custom Dualies Squelchers

The Forge Splattershot Pro has the chance to instapop bubbles with its set. However the weapon will either have to devote Main Power Up or Special Power Up and Object Shredder to their abilites, missing out on an advantage of the weapon. It is commonly outclassed by the Foil Squeezer.

The Kensa Splattershot Pro, unlike its other variants, has a kit built for a slayer. Splat Bombs help the weapon push, and Booyah Bomb gives the weapon turf coverage. Along with its potential 49.9 damage per shot, the weapon is very deadly.

S2 .96 Gal promo render.jpg
..96 Gal
The .96 Gal has high damage and high range which makes the weapon strong itself. However it has terrible accuracy and a slow fire rate making the weapon weaker at close range. Ink Armor can be farmed along with the turfing of the Sprinkler.

The .96 Gal Deco has Splash Walls which pair well with its high range and damage, allowing the user to stay safe, but Splashdown is unreliable when opponents get up close.

S2 Jet Squelcher promo render.jpg
.Jet Squelcher
The Jet Squelcher while it doesn't have the best sub, the weapon can farm Tenta Missiles very quickly. Along with its high range, the weapon can hold an area well.

The Custom Jet Squelcher has Burst Bombs which allow the weapon to be more mobile and can allow some combos, and its greatest strength, having constant Sting Rays which can help stop pushes, which can be crucial to a match.

Blasters

Blasters, while in the same class as a shooter, functions completely differently. They shoot projectiles that explode in midair, dealing damage to opponents near. Blasters do not need to be as reliant on aim as shooters but they shoot slowly and deal little damage to objects such as a Brella shield and Splash Wall.

Name Variants
S2 Luna Blaster promo render.jpg
Luna Blaster
The Luna Blaster has a higher fire rate and blast radius than the Blaster, allowing for more consistent splatting. Splat Bomb helps the Luna Blaster poke, especially with its shorter range, and Baller, while not the best special to have, has a light Baller, meaning the user will move faster with it.

The Luna Blaster Neo has a kit that completely falls apart. Ink Mine does nothing when the team is pushed back. It is especially worse with the Luna Blaster, which does not have any range and needs a bomb to poke. Suction-Bomb Launcher is fine on the weapon, but Ink Mine hurts the weapon too much.

The Kensa Luna Blaster's kit does something completely different than what the weapon wants to do. Fizzy Bomb and Ink Storm both help with turfing and supporting while the user plays aggressively with little paint. Fizzy Bomb does help the user, especially with Last-Ditch Effort.

S2 Blaster promo render.jpg
Blaster
The Blaster is a short ranged blaster that can splat opponents in one hit with a direct. The kit however, brings the weapon back as Toxic Mist cannot help when the user is pushed back and Splashdown being unreliable.

The Custom Blaster does give a kit that helps more with splatting. Autobomb is average at poking and Inkjet still helps with splatting. It still suffers with the weaknesses of the main weapon.

S2 Range Blaster promo render.jpg
Range Blaster
The Range Blaster has longer range than the Blaster and still has the one shot direct at the cost of lower fire rate and high ink comsumption. Suction Bomb helps the weapon with poking and turfing and Ink Storm provides area denial to the opponents, helping the user. The Ink Storm, however is 200p on a weapon that cannot turf, meaning the user will not have Ink Storm often.

The Custom Range Blaster does not work well with its kit. Curling Bombs do almost nothing for the user and the bubbles will not be managed well by the user which can deal little damage to the bubbles.

The Grim Range Blaster has the best kit of the Range Blasters. Burst Bombs combo well with the main weapon and allows for more mobility on a weapon that already has limited mobility. Tenta Missiles also help the user with pushing back opponents.
