Squinja Mask

The Squinja Mask is headgear in Splatoon 2.

It is a 2-star item produced by amiibo and comes with the primary ability Quick Respawn. It is only available from the Inkling Boy 2 amiibo. It cannot be ordered from another player.

Appearance

The Squinja Mask is an all-black shozoku headpiece with a metallic eye guard. The color of the eye guard changes to match the wearer's ink.

In Splatoon 2, when worn by boys the lower face is covered and when worn by girls the lower face covering is omitted. In Splatoon 3, these versions are available as separate pieces of gear that can be worn by any gender (known as Squinja Mask Mk I and Squinja Mask Mk II in that game, respectively).

Abilities

The Squinja Mask comes with Quick Respawn as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Squinja Mask comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the amiibo gear brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.
