Gas Mask

In Splatoon, it is a 3-star item produced by 
Forge and comes with the primary ability 
Tenacity.
It can be purchased from

In Splatoon 2, it is a 3-star item produced by 
Forge and comes with the primary ability 
Tenacity.
It can be purchased from 
Headspace for 
11,000 or from 
SplatNet Gear Shop for 16,500.

Appearance
The Gas Mask is a full-face black mask with a series of straps securing it to the wearer's head. Both the lenses and a thin stripe on the front filter change to match the color of the wearer's Ink, and unlike most modern military-grade gas masks, it has two side filters instead of one.
Splatoon
Abilities
The Gas Mask comes with Tenacity as a main ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having 
Comeback, 
Last-Ditch Effort, or 
Opening Gambit. As a 3-star item, the Gas Mask has three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Forge brand, it has a higher chance of rolling 
Special Duration Up and a lower chance of rolling 
Ink Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.
Splatoon 2
Abilities
The Gas Mask comes with Tenacity as a main ability when purchased from shop or ordered from Murch, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having 
Comeback, 
Last-Ditch Effort, or 
Opening Gambit. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it can have any other ability normally available to Headgear. As a 3-star item, the Gas Mask has three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Forge brand, it has a higher chance of rolling 
Special Power Up and a lower chance of rolling 
Ink Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.
