In Splatoon, it is a 1-star item produced by Firefin and comes with the primary ability Special Saver. It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for  700.
In Splatoon 2, it is a 1-star item produced by Firefin and comes with the primary ability Special Saver. It can be purchased from Headspace for  700 or from SplatNet Gear Shop for  1,750.

Appearance

The Jet Cap has is a baseball cap with a white brim and front. The rest of it changes color to match that of the wearer's ink. On the top is a white "X" pattern, on the left side is a dark gray shape, and on the brim is some black Inkling text. The hat is worn at a jaunty angle.
