Blowfish Bell Hat

The Blowfish Bell Hat^(NA)^[a] or Fugu Bell Hat^(Splatoon)^(EU/OC)^[b], is headgear in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 1-star item produced by Firefin and comes with the primary ability Ink Recovery Up. It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for 700.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 1-star item produced by Firefin and comes with the primary ability Ink Recovery Up. It can be purchased from Headspace for 850 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for 2,125.

In Splatoon 3, it is a 0-star item produced by Firefin and comes with the primary ability Ink Recovery Up. It can be purchased from Naut Couture for 850 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for 2,125.

Appearance

The Blowfish Bell Hat is a simple, bell-shaped hat with a soft-looking and somewhat grainy texture. It changes color to match that of the wearer's ink and has a tiny, black and white version of the Firefin logo on the front.

Splatoon

The Blowfish Bell Hat debuted in Splatoon in version 2.0.0.

Abilities

The Blowfish Bell Hat comes with Ink Recovery Up as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Blowfish Bell Hat comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Firefin gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) and a lower chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up to fill its secondary ability slot.

Splatoon 2

The Blowfish Bell Hat returns in Splatoon 2 at release.

Since it is made by the Firefin gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) and a lower chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up to fill its secondary ability slot.

Splatoon 3

The Blowfish Bell Hat returns in Splatoon 3 in Chill Season 2022 in version 2.0.0. Prior to its release, it had appeared in a Splatoon 3 trailer in September 2021.

Abilities

The Blowfish Bell Hat comes with Ink Recovery Up as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 0-star item, the Blowfish Bell Hat comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Naut Couture for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 1 or 2 stars will add a secondary ability slot per level, up to a maximum of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Firefin gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) and a lower chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up to fill its secondary ability slots.
