In Splatoon 2, it is a 3-star item produced by Skalop and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Sub). It can be purchased from Headspace for Cash 10,000 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for Cash 15,000.

In Splatoon 3, it is a 2-star item produced by Skalop and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Sub). It can be obtained through leveling up the Chill Season 2022 Catalog to level 17, or it can be purchased from Naut Couture for Cash 10,000 from SplatNet 3 Shop for Cash 15,000.

Appearance

The Jellyvader Cap is a black leather flat-bill cap. On the front are two light blue, pixelated jellyfish, which change color to match the player's current ink color, along with the Skalop logo embroidered on the back. A white sticker of the logo is placed under the bill. In Splatoon 3, the cap can be rotated to instead face backwards using the 'Adjust Gear' feature.

Trivia

Etymology

Jellyvader is a portmanteau of "jellyfish" and "invader", likely named due to the similarity of the pixelated jellyfish pattern to the enemies from the game Space Invaders.
