Safari Hat
Not to be confused with the Safari Hat (EU/OC)[a] made by Firefin, named Jungle Hat (NA)[b].
The Safari Hat(NA)[b] or Jungle Hat(Splatoon)(EU/OC)[a], is headgear in the Splatoon series.
In Splatoon, it is a 2-star item produced by Forge and comes with the primary ability Last-Ditch Effort. It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for 2,300.
In Splatoon 2, it is a 2-star item produced by Forge and comes with the primary ability Last-Ditch Effort. It can be purchased from Headspace for 2,300 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for 4,600.
In Splatoon 3, it is a 1-star item produced by Forge and comes with the primary ability Last-Ditch Effort. It can be purchased from Naut Couture for 2,300 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for 4,600.
Appearance
The Safari Hat is a floppy, wide brimmed hat that changes color based on that of the wearer's ink, with the band being considerably lighter than the rest of the hat's dull shade. On the top of the hat is a brown design with a red lobster in the middle, hence the Japanese name "Lobster Boonie". It also has a thin black string securing it to the wearer's head.
When displayed in a Locker in Splatoon 3, this gear is placed on a black mannequin head.
Splatoon
Abilities
The Safari Hat comes with Last-Ditch Effort as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Comeback, Opening Gambit, or Tenacity. As a 2-star item, the Safari Hat comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Forge gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Duration Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.
Splatoon 2
Abilities
The Safari Hat comes with Last-Ditch Effort as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Comeback, Opening Gambit, or Tenacity. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 2-star item, the Safari Hat comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Forge gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Power Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) to fill its secondary ability slots.
Splatoon 3
Abilities
The Safari Hat comes with Last-Ditch Effort as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Comeback, Opening Gambit, or Tenacity. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 1-star item, the Safari Hat comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities.
