Cycle King Cap
The Cycle King Cap is headgear in the Splatoon series.
In Splatoon, it is a 2-star item produced by Tentatek and comes with the primary ability Defense Up.
It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for 
2,400.
In Splatoon 2, it is a 2-star item produced by Tentatek and comes with the primary ability Bomb Defense Up DX.
It can be purchased from Headspace for 
2,400 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for 4,800.
In Splatoon 3, it is a 1-star item produced by Tentatek and comes with the primary ability Sub Resistance Up.
It can be purchased from Naut Couture for 
2,400 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for 4,800.
Appearance
The Cycle King Cap is a short-brimmed hat that changes color to match that of the wearer's ink. It has a thick dark stripe down the middle with the trademark "squideye" of the Tentatek logo on it in white, as well as sections of light-colored polka dots on either side. On the brim, which is the same dark color as the stripe, the Inkling text from the Tentatek logo is printed, also in white. Next to the text is a circular design which appears to be a black fish on an orange background. On the back of the cap, in the middle of the stripe, the text from the Tentatek logo is repeated in white. Next to it, on the section of polka dots, a pair of tiny black fish (or possibly airplanes) can be seen. These fish are easily overlooked due to their small size and placement.

Abilities
The Cycle King Cap comes with Defense Up as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Cycle King Cap comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Tentatek gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up and a lower chance of rolling Quick Super Jump to fill its secondary ability slots.

The Cycle King Cap comes with Bomb Defense Up DX as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 2-star item, the Cycle King Cap comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Tentatek gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up and a lower chance of rolling Quick Super Jump to fill its secondary ability slots.

Abilities
The Cycle King Cap comes with Sub Resistance Up as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 1-star item, the Cycle King Cap comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Naut Couture for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Tentatek gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up and a lower chance of rolling Quick Super Jump to fill its secondary ability slot.
