The Studio Octophones are headgear in Splatoon 2.
They are a 3-star item produced by Cuttlegear and come with the primary ability Ink Recovery Up. It can be obtained by purchasing the Octo Expansion. Buyers also got the Octo Layered LS. They cannot be ordered from another player.
Appearance
The Studio Octophones are a pair of bulky red headphones. They feature large dark red earpieces connected by a thick padded band as well as a thin metal bar arching over it. On each earpiece is a small fuchsia sticker of an octopus.
Splatoon 2
Abilities
The Studio Octophones come with Ink Recovery Up as the primary ability. As a 3-star item, the Studio Octophones come with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since they are made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.
Trivia
- This item and the Octo Layered LS were available early by pre-purchasing the Octo Expansion. This is a throwback to the initial Splatoon Global Testfire, where players who pre-purchased Splatoon during the event were given the Studio Headphones and a special squid-themed layered shirt.
