The Mecha Body - AKM is a piece of clothing in Splatoon 2.
It is a 3-star item produced by SquidForce and comes with the primary ability Sub Power Up. It is only available as a CoroCoro Comic promotion in Japan. It cannot be ordered from another player.
CoroCoro Comic held a drawing competition for designing a new set of gear which the winner design gets to be in the game. The set was released at 15 April 2019 for Japanese copies only. It includes the Mecha Head - HTR, Mecha Body - AKM, and Mecha Legs - LBS.

The Mecha Body - AKM is a gray mechanical suit of armor with various tubes that change depending on the player's ink color, smoke will also come out of one of the top right tubes. The left hand has sharp, claw-like hands; while the right has a regular mechanical hand.
Splatoon 2
Abilities
The Mecha Body - AKM comes with Sub Power Up as the primary ability. As a 3-star item, the Mecha Body - AKM comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the SquidForce gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Resistance Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) to fill its secondary ability slots.

- This item was worn by Goggles, with the rest of the Mech gear, in chapter 33 of the Splatoon manga for a short period.
