The Old-Timey Clothes are pieces of clothing in Splatoon 2.

They are a 2-star item produced by Cuttlegear and come with the primary ability Thermal Ink. They are obtained from the Octo Expansion by talking to Iso Padre after collecting eight sets of mem cakes (including grayscale mem cakes). They must then be claimed from a box in Inkopolis Square after completing the Octo Expansion. They cannot be ordered from another player.

Appearance

The Old-Timey Clothes consist of a pair of silver Forge headphones with an orange wire and a green jacket with a white stripe running down the sleeves. The jacket resembles the School Jersey and it has a collar that covers the neck, a medal with the Cuttlegear logo on the bottom, and a Zink logo on the top right.

This item is worn by Cuttlefish during the events of the Octo Expansion. However, his version of the item has three medals instead of one.

The Old Timey-Clothes were added in Version 3.1.0, released on 14 June 2018 at 01:00 UTC, along with the release of the Octo Expansion.

Abilities

The Old-Timey Clothes come with Thermal Ink as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Clothing, prevents the wearer from also having Ability Doubler, Haunt, Ninja Squid, or Respawn Punisher. As a 2-star item, the Old-Timey Clothes come with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since they are made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.
