Marinated Top
The Marinated Top is a piece of clothing in the Splatoon series.
In Splatoon 2, it is a 2-star item produced by amiibo and comes with the primary ability Special Power Up.
It is only available from the Marina amiibo. It cannot be ordered through Murch.
In Splatoon 3, it is a 1-star item produced by amiibo and comes with the primary ability Special Power Up.
It is only available from the Marina amiibo. It cannot be ordered through Murch.
Appearance
The Marinated Top is a replica of the white crop top Marina wears during the Octo Expansion. It also comes with a silver necklace, a watch, and a bracelet. On masculine styles, the top covers more midriff and slighty more shoulder.
Splatoon 2
Abilities
The Marinated Top comes with Special Power Up as the primary ability. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it can have any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 2-star item, the Marinated Top comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the amiibo brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.
Splatoon 3
Abilities
The Marinated Top comes with Special Power Up as the primary ability. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it can have any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 1-star item, the Marinated Top comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with a Super Sea Snail. Increasing the star level to 1 or 2 stars will also add another secondary ability slot to the Marinated Top. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by the Marinated Top by a cumulative 3.333...% up to 10% additional experience at five-star level. Since it is made by the amiibo brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.
