Appearance
The Reggae Tee is a short-sleeved T-shirt depicting a beach scene with several stylized squids in navy blue and white and some similarly colored palm trees. The sand is a pale cream color, and the sky, dotted with stars, fades from peach at the bottom to light fuchsia at the top. One of the squids is playing what looks like a banjo. In Splatoon 3, the shirt can be changed into an oversized version using the "Adjust Gear" feature.

The Reggae Tee comes with Special Saver as the primary ability. As a 3-star item, the Reggae Tee comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Skalop gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Quick Respawn and a lower chance of rolling Special Saver to fill its secondary ability slots.

As a 2-star item, the Reggae Tee comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Skalop gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Quick Respawn and a lower chance of rolling Special Saver to fill its secondary ability slots.

Trivia
- The Reggae Tee's design is based on Bob Dub's album art. Its English name references their genre of music, and it shares its Japanese name, "Ika Jamaica", with the Japanese name of Bob Dub's one song.
