Trivia

  • The Takoroka Windcrusher exists in real life, sold by KOG.
  • The Takoroka Windcrusher could be seen in Splatoon 3 before its official release for Fresh Season 2024 if users had unlocked Inkopolis Plaza, as certain avatars in the plaza wear it when the game is offline. However, due to the user then being offline, it could not be obtained through normal means.

Etymology

"Windcrusher" is a variation on the type of this gear, a windbreaker; "crush" can be considered partly synonymous with "break". It may also be a play on the colloquial use of "crush" to mean a display of impressive skill (e.g. to "crush it").
