Vaporwave Tee
The Vaporwave Tee is a piece of clothing in Splatoon 3.
It is a 0-star item produced by Skalop and comes with the primary ability Thermal Ink. It can be purchased from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 880 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for 2,200.
Appearance
The Vaporwave Tee is a T-shirt with a gradient. The top half is dark blue, which fades into magenta on the bottom half. On the front of the shirt is the text from the Skalop logo in white. In Splatoon 3, the shirt can be changed into an oversized version using the "Adjust Gear" feature.

Abilities
The Vaporwave Tee comes with Thermal Ink as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Clothing, prevents the wearer from also having Ability Doubler, Haunt, Ninja Squid, or Respawn Punisher. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 0-star item, the Vaporwave Tee comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 1 or 2 stars will add a secondary ability slot per level, up to a maximum of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Skalop gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Quick Respawn and a lower chance of rolling Special Saver to fill its secondary ability slots.

Etymology
The name is a reference to the "Vaporwave" musical style, which developed into a general visual art style and became a meme in the 2010s. The Vaporwave visual art style tends to incorporate '80's and '90's aesthetics, pastel and neon colors, glitch effects and geometric patterns within a futuristic style.
The -wave suffix denotes a subculture centered around a topic; the "vapor" component of the word vaporwave refers to vaporware. The Vaporwave Tee's naming convention is shared with the Firewave Tee and the Icewave Tee.
