The Forest Vest(NA)[a] or Forest Gilet(EU/OC)[b], is a piece of clothing in the Splatoon series.
In Splatoon, it is a 3-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Ink Recovery Up.
It can be purchased from Jelly Fresh for 
11,000.
In Splatoon 2, it is a 3-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Ink Recovery Up.
It can be purchased from Ye Olde Cloth Shoppe for 
11,000 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for 16,500.
In Splatoon 3, it is a 2-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Ink Recovery Up.
It can be purchased from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 
11,000 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for 16,500.
Appearance
The Forest Vest consists of a dull green down vest and the dark purple, plaid-patterned, button-down shirt worn underneath. The vest has a slightly shiny texture and six dark gray buttons, two of which are on a pair of pockets. Toward the top it has sections of light and dark gray, and the lining is a dull yellow. The bottom of the plaid shirt pokes out loosely from beneath the vest.

The Forest Vest comes with Ink Recovery Up as the primary ability. As a 3-star item, the Forest Vest comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Defense Up and a lower chance of rolling Damage Up to fill its secondary ability slots.

When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 3-star item, the Forest Vest comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Bomb Defense Up DX and a lower chance of rolling Main Power Up to fill its secondary ability slots.

The Forest Vest comes with Ink Recovery Up as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 2-star item, the Forest Vest comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Sub Resistance Up and a lower chance of rolling Intensify Action to fill its secondary ability slots.

- The Forest Vest is tied with the Bike Helmet for most expensive gear with Ink Recovery Up in Splatoon. It is tied with the Olive Ski Jacket and Mountain Vest for most expensive Inkline gear.
- The Forest Vest had been in Splatoon's data files since the original release, but was not made available until version 2.3.0.
