The Whale-Knit Sweater is a piece of clothing in the Splatoon series.
In Splatoon 2, it is a 3-star item produced by Splash Mob and comes with the primary ability Run Speed Up.

In Splatoon 3, it is a 2-star item produced by Splash Mob and comes with the primary ability Run Speed Up.

Appearance
The Whale-Knit Sweater is a zip-up knitted sweater with two pockets in the front. The zipper of the sweater has a tag with a squid drawn on it. The sweater has a light brown collar and cuffs, and alternates between different patterns in light brown and cream, with dark brown detailing. The topmost section of the sweater features a pattern of zigzag and dots. The middle section has dark brown whales on a cream background. A light brown wave pattern separates the middle and bottom section of the sweater, which features a pattern of stylized jellyfish and hearts.

Abilities
The Whale-Knit Sweater comes with Run Speed Up as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 3-star item, the Whale-Knit Sweater comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Splash Mob gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) and a lower chance of rolling Run Speed Up to fill its secondary ability slots.

Abilities
The Whale-Knit Sweater comes with Run Speed Up as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 2-star item, the Whale-Knit Sweater comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Splash Mob gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) and a lower chance of rolling Run Speed Up to fill its secondary ability slots.
