Old-Timey Hat

The Old-Timey Hat is headgear in Splatoon 2.

It is a 2-star item produced by Cuttlegear and comes with the primary ability Comeback. It is obtained from the Octo Expansion by talking to Iso Padre after collecting seven sets of mem cakes (including grayscale mem cakes). It must then be claimed from a box in Inkopolis Square after completing the Octo Expansion. It cannot be ordered from another player.

Appearance

The Old-Timey Hat consists of a white Cap of Legend turned backwards, with no patches on it, and a pair of black Retro Specs that are worn lower on the nose, similar to how Cap'n Cuttlefish wears them.

This item is worn by Cap'n Cuttlefish during the events of the Octo Expansion.

Abilities

The Old-Timey Hat comes with Comeback as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Last-Ditch Effort, Opening Gambit, or Tenacity. As a 2-star item, the Old-Timey Hat comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.
