Trivia

• In the Spanish and French localizations, short team names are instead "Dinosaurs vs. Robots", with the news dialogue slightly changed to emphasize this aspect of the theme. However, the full team names still reference the main Past vs. Future theme.
• In the Spanish localization, Callie had previously shown an interest in dinosaurs in dialogue for the Art vs. Science Splatfest.
• In Splatoon 2, when talking to Marie in Octo Canyon, she can mention that she wishes she had "a pineapple-free pizza from the future", referencing both Past vs. Future and the European Splatfest Delicious vs. Disgusting.
