SRL Coat
In Splatoon, the then-unnamed SRL Coat was used by members of the Squid Research Lab in the Splatoon Global Testfire, along with a set of dark sunglasses with Ink Recovery Up, and a pair of black dress shoes with white socks and Special Saver. The gear was never made available for regular players.
Splatoon
Appearance
In Splatoon, it resembles a standard lab coat worn by scientists carrying out experiments. Two green backpack-style straps connect a large flag, which corresponds with the player's ink color, with what is presumably the Squid Research Lab's logo equivalent in Splatoon. A name tag is on the left side of the coat and a tie is tucked behind the coat, with their colors changing depending on what color ink is used.
Abilities
As it replaces the Basic Tee normally used in the Testfire, the Lab Coat comes with Quick Respawn as a main ability. It secondary abilities are unknown.
Splatoon 2
Appearance
In Splatoon 2, the buttons are now undone, on the left side, and it contains the Splatoon version of the Basic Tee underneath. The name tag has been replaced with a blue patch with an orange squid on it and a pink badge underneath with the same Squid Research Lab logo on it. The banner is no longer present.
