Details

Snowman vs. Sandcastle was the first North American Splatfest to use Splatfest Power for matchmaking. Nintendo also began publishing lists ranking the Splatfest Power of the top 100 players.

The full name of each choice was "I'd rather build a SNOWMAN" and "I'd rather build a SANDCASTLE". The team name portion of Splatfest titles was "Snowman" and "Sandcastle".

The three stages selected for this Splatfest were Arowana Mall, Museum d'Alfonsino, and Mahi-Mahi Resort.
