Fizzbangs are a new Splatfest mechanic introduced in Splatoon 3 during Fresh Season 2024. They will debut in the Splatfest that follows the Friday vs. Saturday vs. Sunday Splatfest (overseas) and the Red Bean Paste vs. Custard vs. Whipped Cream Splatfest (JP). They are small bombs with an explosion resembling fireworks.
Details
Fizzbangs follow the player, similar to the clams in Clam Blitz, and can be thrown. Upon landing on the ground, fly upwards a short distance and explode, which damages opponents within a certain radius. Fizzbangs are acquired by respawning or by splatting opponents. Splatting an opponent gives the player 1-3 Fizzbangs depending on the remaining time in the match: 1 during the first minute of the match, 2 during the second minute, and 3 in the final minute. A player may hold up to 6 Fizzbangs at a time.
