Special Charge Up is an ability in Splatoon and Splatoon 2. Takoroka gear has a 5× chance of rolling this ability.
Special Charge Up reduces the points needed to fill the special gauge. This allows for more frequent deployment of specials. However, the player still needs to spread ink or Booyah on a Booyah Bomb to charge their special, in contrast to Tenacity.
Splatoon
Special Charge Up reduces the points needed to fill the special gauge by up to 23%.
This ability is most effective for special weapons that take a great amount of points to charge, like the Inkzooka.
