Cycle King Cap

The Cycle King Cap is headgear in Splatoon and Splatoon 2. It is a 2-star item produced by [[File:Tentatek_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] and comes with the main ability Defense Up in Splatoon and Bomb Defense Up in Splatoon 2.

It can be purchased from and for File:2,400 Icon Cash.png, or from SplatNet 2 for File:4,800 Icon Cash.png.

Appearance

The Cycle King Cap is a short-brimmed hat that changes color to match that of the wearer's ink. It has a thick dark stripe down the middle with the trademark "squideye" of the [[File:Tentatek_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] logo on it in white, as well as sections of light-colored polka dots on either side. On the brim, which is the same dark color as the stripe, the Inkling text from the Tentatek logo is printed, also in white. Next to the text is a circular design which appears to be a black fish on an orange background. On the back of the cap, in the middle of the stripe, the text from the Tentatek logo is repeated in white. Next to it, on the section of polka dots, a pair of tiny black fish (or possibly airplanes) can be seen. These fish are easily overlooked due to their small size and placement.

The Cycle King Cap comes with Defense Up as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Cycle King Cap comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Tentatek gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up and a lower chance of rolling Quick Super Jump to fill its secondary ability slots.
