Ink Saver (Main) is an Ability in Splatoon and Splatoon 2. {} gear has a 5× chance of rolling this ability, while {} gear has a 1/2× chance.
Ink Saver (Main) reduces the ink consumption of main weapons.
The ability allows the player to ink with fewer interruptions, and to fight another player without running out of ink. For example, the Splattershot Jr. can fire continuously for 30 seconds with maximum Ink Saver (Main), up from 17 seconds. To make aggressive use of both the main weapon and sub weapon without running out of ink, a player may want to use Ink Saver (Main) with Template:InterimAbility. The ability is useful when using roller-based weapons, as it increases the distance the player can roll before needing to refill their ink-tank.
Splatoon
This ability decreases ink usage of the main weapon by up to 45%.
The ability is particularly helpful for the most ink-hungry weapons in the game: the Splattershot Pro, the
E-liter 3K, and the
Dynamo Roller.
