The Splattershot Pro is a main weapon in the Splatoon series, created by Splat.

Appearance

The main part of the Splattershot Pro seems to be a large, crayon-shaped canister that changes color to match the user's ink. Over the top of this is a gray and blue mechanism that keeps the canister inserted, and around the canister are two gray straps that connect it to the weapon's frame. The back of the canister has a blue cap with a red tube. Attached to the trigger piece is a dark blue handhold that connects to the identically colored nozzle. The tip of the nozzle and trigger are red.

The Splattershot Pro is an advanced weapon in terms of power and range, making it easy to use for more experienced players. Though it boasts superior range and power when compared to the Splattershot, it is inferior to the Splattershot in turf coverage and fire rate. It comes in a set with the Splat Bombs and Inkstrike.

Data

  • The Splattershot Pro is a middleweight weapon.
  • Each shot consumes 1.9% of the ink tank capacity.
    • This allows players to fire 52 shots before needing to refill the ink supply.
    • This stat can be changed with Ink Saver (Main).
  • When firing continuously, it shoots a bullet every 8 frames (7.5 shots per second).
  • When firing while moving, the player's movement speed is set to 0.5 units per frame.
  • After firing, there is a 20 frame cooldown before the ink tank starts refilling.
  • Each shot has a base damage of 42.
  • Shots travel straight for 5 frames. After that, they may lose damage. A shot will lose damage until it reaches 21 damage at frame 18.
  • Shots have a radius of 2 units.
  • The angle its shots can deviate while on the ground is 3 degrees.
  • The angle its shots can deviate while in the air is 12 degrees.
  • The outer reticle immediately expands after jumping. The outer reticle will finish shrinking after 60 frames.
  • The chance to shoot towards the outer reticle instead of the inner reticle increases by 10% per shot, and maximizes at a 25% chance to shoot towards the outer reticle.
    • This means that it takes 3 shots to reach minimum accuracy.
  • When jumping, the chance to shoot towards the outer reticle instead of the inner reticle is immediately set to 40%.
  • Accuracy starts recovering 8 frames after the player stops shooting.
  • Shots initially travel straight at a rate of 26.3 units per frame for 5 frames. Shots travel straight for 131.4750004 distance units.
  • Ink droplets occur every 70 units.
  • The frequency at which ink drips from a shot occurs at a rate of 3 droplets per shot.
  • There are a total of 8 different droplet patterns that can be created while firing this weapon.
  • Droplets that occur within 11 units of the player have a radius of 19.2 units.
  • Droplets that occur when they travel past 200 units of the player have a radius of 18 units.
  • All other ink droplets have a radius of 12.5 units.

Sheldon's Introduction

The Splattershot Pro was developed for more advanced users by the team behind the Splattershot! Unbalance your foes with Splat Bombs and Inkstrikes, and then hit them with superb range and accuracy! Its ink efficiency and fire rate aren't as good as the standard Splattershot's hence the "pro."

An updated Splattershot developed with advanced battlers in mind. Consumes a lot of ink and has a slow rate of fire, but its range and accuracy are vastly improved.

The Splattershot Pro returns in Splatoon 2 looking identical to how it did in the first game. It comes with the Point Sensor and Ink Storm.

It appears in one Octo Expansion station:

Data

  • The Splattershot Pro is a middleweight weapon.
  • The matchmaking range is 170. The game's matchmaking system looks at a team's average matchmaking range value, and matches them against a team with a similar average.
  • The ink consumption of 2% and ink tank capacity of 100% allows players to fire 50 shots before needing to refill the ink supply.
  • When initially firing the weapon in humanoid form, the first shot takes 3 frames to come out.
  • When firing from swim form, the first shot takes 11 frames to come out.
  • The interval between firing and when the player is able to enter swim form or use a sub weapon is 4 frames.
  • When firing continuously, it shoots a bullet every 8 frames (7.5 shots per second).
  • When firing while moving, the player's movement speed is set to 0.55 units per frame.
  • After firing, there is a 20 frame cooldown before the ink tank starts refilling.
  • Each shot has a base damage of 42.
  • If a shot is in the air for more than 7 frames after being fired, it loses 1.3125 damage per frame until it reaches 21 damage at frame 23.
  • The bullet hitbox has a radius of 2 units.
  • The angle its shots can deviate while on the ground is 2.7 degrees.
  • The angle its shots can deviate while in the air is 6 degrees.
  • The outer reticle immediately expands after jumping. After 25 frames, the outer reticle will start shrinking, and will finish shrinking after 70 frames.
  • The Splattershot Pro starts off having a 1% chance to shoot towards the outer reticle instead of the inner reticle.
    • This chance increases by 1% per shot, and maximizes at a 25% chance to shoot towards the outer reticle, meaning that it takes 24 shots to reach minimum accuracy.
  • When jumping, the chance to shoot towards the outer reticle instead of the inner reticle is immediately set to 40%.
  • Accuracy starts recovering 8 frames after the player stops shooting. The chance to shoot towards the outer reticle decreases by 0.5% per frame, if the chance is not already at the minimum, meaning that it takes 56 frames to reach maximum accuracy. (86 after shooting while jumping.)
  • Shots initially travel straight at a rate of 38.33333 units per frame for 3 frames. Shots travel straight for 114.99999 distance units.
    • After that, the shot's velocity is set to 22.698 units per frame if it is not already lower than the listed value, and decreases further as it travels.
  • Ink droplets occur every 88 units.
  • The frequency at which ink drips from a shot occurs at a rate of 2 droplets per shot.
  • There are a total of 6 different droplet patterns that can be created while firing this weapon.
  • Droplets that occur within 11 units of the player have a radius of 18 units, and a width of 8 units.
    • These droplets have their radius multiplied by a value ranging from 1.2 if they fell from a height above 100 units to 1.4 if they fell from a height below 30 units.
  • Droplets that occur when they travel past 200 units of the player have a radius of 16 units.
  • All other ink droplets have a radius of 12.5 units.
  • Droplets that are far from the player and all other droplets have their radius multiplied by a value ranging from 1 if they fell from a height above 100 units to 1.2 if they fell from a height below 30 units.

The Splattershot Pro was developed for more advanced users by the team behind the Splattershot! Use the Point Sensor to reveal opponents, and then blast them with the incredible precision and range of the main weapon! Its fire rate and ink efficiency aren't the best, but you can cover your teammates with an Ink Storm! I'd recommend this weapon to players who have a lot of faith in their accuracy and positioning!

S3 Sheldon Artwork.png
Sheldon's Introduction

The Splattershot Pro was developed for more advanced users by the same team that brought you the Splattershot! And here's a "pro" strategy for using it - deploy the Angle Shooter to limit your opponent's movement, then take advantage of the Pro's accuracy and range to splat 'em from downtown. Of course, sometimes you just want to crush your enemies with a crustacean, and that's where the Crab Tank comes in. Putting it all together is easier said than done, but this setup is built for players who dare to dream.

Trivia

  • This was one of the weapons available to use in the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere.
  • Its design seems to be inspired by older Super Soaker Models with the 1998 CPS 1000[5] and the1996 CPS 2000[6] sharing several similarities.
  • The Splattershot Pro was one of the only two launch weapons to have the Angle Shooter.
  • When Angle Shooter and Crab Tank come up on Judd's Trials, the player is equipped with the Splattershot Pro on both occasions.
