The Z+F Splatterscope is a main weapon in Splatoon 3, introduced in Fresh Season 2023. It is a Z+F-branded variant of the Splatterscope, and a scoped variant of the Z+F Splat Charger. It was teased in the Fresh Season 2023 poster on 16 February 2023 and was officially revealed on Splatoon's Twitter accounts on 20 February 2023. It was released on 1 March 2023.

It is a rebranded successor of Firefin Splatterscope from Splatoon 2 following the merger between Firefin and Zekko to form Z+F.

Splatoon 3

  • The Z+F Splatterscope is a middleweight weapon.
  • The matchmaking range is 28. The game's matchmaking system looks at a team's average matchmaking range value, and matches them against a team with a similar average.
  • Ink consumption scales from 2.25% to 18% depending on the charge level.
    • The full-charge ink consumption of 18% allows players to fire 5 shots before needing to refill the ink supply.
    • This stat can be changed with Ink Saver (Main).
  • The Z+F Splatterscope cannot store its charge.
  • It takes 1 second to fully charge the weapon (60 frames).
    • When charging a shot with an empty tank, the charge rate is 33.33%, permitting the player to fully charge a shot in 3 seconds.
    • When charging a shot while in the air, the charge rate is 33.33%, permitting the player to fully charge a shot in 3 seconds.
    • The weapon must charge for at least 8 frames before it can release its charge.
  • The interval between firing and being able to submerge in ink is 15 frames.
  • Fully charged shots will pierce opponents.
  • When charging while moving, the player's movement speed is set to 0.02 units per frame.
  • Damage scales from 40 to 80 depending on the charge level. At full charge, the damage is 160.
  • Shot distance scales from 10.75 units to 25.75 units depending on the charge level. At full charge, the distance is 27.75 units.
    • The range of charger weapons is impacted by the position of the weapon's muzzle in its model file. These range numbers account for this variation.

Sheldon's Introduction

If you've ever wished that your Z+F Splat Charger had a way to see just... a bit... farther... now it kinda does! They call it the Z+F Splatterscope, and it's got a scope! Keep in mind that using the scope limits your field of view - and with this weapon specifically, keeps you from storing a charge. But with the Splash Wall and Triple Inkstrike in your back pocket, I think the benefits of this loadout are clear as day!

Sticking with Z+F, the fashion brand is also giving us the Z+F Splatterscope. Like the Z+F Splat Charger, this is primarily an aesthetic redesign of a classic weapon, and it also comes with the Splash Wall sub and Triple Inkstrike special.
