Aerospray MG
The Aerospray MG is a main weapon in the Splatoon series, created by the weapon brand Ammo Knights.
The Aerospray MG has an extremely high fire rate, but each shot is weak individually. It takes five hits to splat an opponent. It shares its spot as the shooter with the lowest damage with the Splattershot Nova. It shoots with high spread, allowing its users to quickly cover turf and to hit opponents without perfectly aiming at them.
Appearance
The Aerospray MG is a short, silver gun reminiscent of an aerosol spray pen, with a large tank on top bearing the Ammo Knights logo in black. Underneath the tank is a silver pipe that serves as a barrel with a wide nozzle on the end. Attaching the tank to the barrel is a pair of silver supports. Underneath the nozzle is a metal slope seemingly designed to stop ink from getting on the user's hand. In the back of the Aerospray MG is a thin black tube connecting the side of the barrel to the bottom.

- This allows players to fire 200 shots before needing to refill the ink supply.
- This stat can be changed with Ink Saver (Main).

- When firing while moving, the player's movement speed is set to 0.72 units per frame.
- After firing, there is a 20 frame cooldown before the ink tank starts refilling.
- Each shot has a base damage of 24.5.
- Shots travel straight for 3 frames. After that, they may lose damage. A shot will lose damage until it reaches 12.25 damage at frame 15.
- Shots have a radius of 2 units.
- The angle its shots can deviate while on the ground is 12 degrees.
- The angle its shots can deviate while in the air is 12 degrees.
- The outer reticle immediately expands after jumping. The outer reticle will finish shrinking after 60 frames.
- The chance to shoot towards the outer reticle instead of the inner reticle increases by 10% per shot, and maximizes at a 40% chance to shoot towards the outer reticle.
- This means that it takes 4 shots to reach minimum accuracy.
- When jumping, the chance to shoot towards the outer reticle instead of the inner reticle is immediately set to 40%.
- Accuracy starts recovering 4 frames after the player stops shooting.
- Shots initially travel straight at a rate of 22 units per frame for 3 frames. Shots travel straight for 66 distance units.
- Ink droplets occur every 117 units.
- The frequency at which ink drips from a shot occurs at a rate of 1 droplets per shot.
- There are a total of 8 different droplet patterns that can be created while firing this weapon.
- Droplets that occur within 11 units of the player have a radius of 22 units.
- Droplets that occur when they travel past 200 units of the player have a radius of 19 units.
- All other ink droplets have a radius of 13.5 units.

Sheldon's Introduction
Now the Aerospray MG is a shooter I made with a little help from my grandpappy's blueprints. Its range and accuracy are nothing to sneeze at, but the real draw is its amazing rate of fire! The Seekers and the Inkzooka are so easy to use, you're sure to have a blast! Thanks, Grandpappy! |

- When jumping, the chance to shoot towards the outer reticle instead of the inner reticle is immediately set to 40%.

- Ink droplets occur every 125 units.
- The frequency at which ink drips from a shot occurs at a rate of 1 droplets per shot.
- There are a total of 8 different droplet patterns that can be created while firing this weapon.
- Droplets that occur within 21 units of the player have a radius of 20 units, and a width of 13 units.

Sheldon's Introduction
The range and accuracy of the Aerospray MG aren't anything to write home about, but break out a pen and some stationery for its rate of fire! And when you pair a nimble weapon like that with Fizzy Bombs, it makes movement a breeze. You can quickly lock down plenty of turf to help support your teammates. Of course, inking turf is the name of the game, but sometimes you need a little extra OOMPH, and that's where Reefslider special comes in. Ride it to glorious victory! This setup is ideal for players who like to mix it up - tactically pushing the front line and waiting for the right moment to go big. |

Trivia
- The Aerospray MG appears to be designed after an aerograph, a type of airbrush.
- The MG in this weapon's name likely stands for "Master Grade", referencing Bandai's line of 1:100 scale model kits for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam. This is likely because it is common for model kits to be painted with an airbrush and Gundam models are extremely popular in Japan.
- In Splatoon 2, the Aerospray MG was the only weapon to be unlocked at its level for more than a year-from its debut in July 2017 to the Kensa Splattershot's debut in September 2018.
- This is one of the weapons available to use in the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere.
- When Fizzy Bomb or Reefslider come up in Judd's trials, the player is equipped with the Aerospray MG in both occasions.
