Cephalo Pods
The Cephalo Pods are headgear in the Splatoon series.
They are a 0-star item produced by Forge and come with the primary ability Ink Recovery Up.
They can be purchased from Naut Couture for 
1,980 or from SplatNet 3 Shop for 4,950.
Appearance
The Cephalo Pods are two black triangle pieces on the character's ears that are attached by a black wire which goes behind the character's head. They are similar in appearance to bone conduction headphones.

Template:InfoboxGear The Cephalo Pods were first revealed in the new years short clip on 1 January 2022. Its name was revealed in the Splatoon 3 Direct.
Along with the Tri-Shred Tee and Force ReBoots, the Cephalo Pods are part of the starting outfit for new players.
Abilities
The Cephalo Pods come with Ink Recovery Up as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, they come with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 0-star item, the Cephalo Pods come with one additional slot for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of them from Naut Couture for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 1 or 2 stars will add a secondary ability slot per level, up to a maximum of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since they are made by the Forge gear brand, they have a higher chance of rolling Special Power Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Sub) to fill their secondary ability slots.

- This piece of gear was available in the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere.
- The English name of this piece of gear is a pun on "cephalopods," the type of mollusk that squid and octopuses belong to, and EarPods or Airpods, which are wired and wireless headphones produced by Apple, respectively.
