The Squid-Stitch Cap is headgear in the Splatoon series.
In Splatoon, it is a 3-star item produced by Skalop and comes with the primary ability Opening Gambit. It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for 8,500.
In Splatoon 2, it is a 3-star item produced by Skalop and comes with the primary ability Opening Gambit. It can be purchased from Headspace for 8,500 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for 12,750.
Appearance
The Squid-Stitch Cap is a flat-brimmed cap with a pattern similar to houndstooth that changes color to match that of the wearer's ink. On top of the brim is a somewhat large sticker with Skalop's logo in black and gold. The hat is worn at a slight angle, and on the back is a small version of the Skalop logo in black and white.
Splatoon
Abilities
The Squid-Stitch Cap comes with Opening Gambit as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Comeback, Last-Ditch Effort, or Tenacity. As a 3-star item, the Squid-Stitch Cap comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Skalop gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Quick Respawn and a lower chance of rolling Special Saver to fill its secondary ability slots.
Splatoon 2
Abilities
The Squid-Stitch Cap comes with Opening Gambit as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Comeback, Last-Ditch Effort, or Tenacity. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 3-star item, the Squid-Stitch Cap comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Skalop gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Quick Respawn and a lower chance of rolling Special Saver to fill its secondary ability slots.
