"Splat" (Japanese: スプラ Supura) is a brand within Splatoon and Splatoon 2 which manufactures main, sub and special weapons. Splat-branded weapons are typically unlocked at lower levels and often provide the first instance of the different classes available to players. As such, weapons manufactured by Splat often provide balanced, beginner-oriented kits which act as introductions to various weapons classes.

The "Splat" brand is known for their collaborations with popular gear brands, such as Tentatek , Forge and Firefin. The alternate sets of their different weapons consists mainly of these collaborations.

Splat brand weapons has a very unified look, based on water toy guns, featuring bright, plastic colours. Another attribute that the Splat weapons share is that most of them features the word "Splat" in their naming, though this is not consistent between translations into different languages. Despite falling into this pattern with its English name, the Splat Brella is not part of this brand - in Japanese, its prefix is different than the other weapons named Splat.
