School Uniform

The School Uniform A and School Uniform B (known in Splatoon and Splatoon 2 as the School Uniform) are a pair of clothing items in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 2-star item produced by amiibo and comes with the primary ability Ink Recovery Up. It is only available from the Inkling Girl or the Splatoon 2 series Inkling Girl 2 amiibo. It cannot be ordered from another player.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 2-star item produced by amiibo and comes with the primary ability Ink Recovery Up. It is only available from the Inkling Girl amiibo. It cannot be ordered from another player.

In Splatoon 3, they are a pair of 1-star items produced by amiibo, each comes with the primary ability Ink Recovery Up. Both items are only available from the Inkling Girl amiibo. Both items cannot be ordered from another player.

Appearance

The School Uniform consists of a navy blue jacket, a cream sweater, a white collared shirt, and a tie which changes its color to match the wearer's ink. On the top left side of the jacket is an emblem, likely a school emblem, and near the middle of each side of the jacket are pockets. The jacket also has two golden buttons on its front opening and another golden button can be seen on the back of each sleeve.

The A variant adds a plaided skirt which changes color to match the wearer's ink and the coat's frontal buttons are on the wearer's left side.

The B variant does not come with extra legwear, has a shorter sweater, and coat's frontal buttons are on the right side.

In Splatoon and Splatoon 2, both variants are unnamed and the A variant is applied for girls, while the B variant is applied for boys. In Splatoon 3, both variants are available as separate pieces of gear and can be worn regardless of the wearer's style.

Abilities

The School Uniform comes with Ink Recovery Up as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the School Uniform comes with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the amiibo gear brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

To unlock the School Uniform, the player must play the second set of Octo Valley missions from the Inkling Girl amiibo:

The School Uniform is received after completing the boss challenge.

Abilities

Both School Uniform A and School Uniform B come with Ink Recovery Up as the primary ability. As both of them are 1-star items, they each come with two additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star. Increasing the star level to 2 stars will add another secondary ability slot for a total of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since both items are made by the amiibo gear brand, they each has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.
