These abilities only begin to take effect under either of the following conditions:
There are at most 30 seconds remaining on the game clock, or Overtime has begun in a Ranked Battle, at which the maximum 24 ability points will be granted for each of the above abilities.
In a Ranked Battle, the opposing team's countdown has at most 50 points remaining. The effects of Last-Ditch Effort increase as the opposing team's countdown decreases from 50 to 30 points remaining, starting with 1 ability point for each ability and maxing out to 24 ability points:
This ability is most beneficial to players whose weapon sets include a reliable lethal bomb (such as a Splat Bomb, Suction Bomb, or a Fizzy Bomb), but players whose main weapons have low ink efficiency (such as the Foil Squeezer) can also benefit as well.
▲ During its active period, the effect of Last-Ditch Effort is now multiplied by 2.4 times the number of times it is equipped as a main gear ability (was previously multiplied by 1.8).
▲ When playing a Ranked Battle match, in addition to the benefits it previously provided, Last-Ditch Effort's benefits will improve when the opposing team's counter is 50 or below, and continue to improve gradually as the counter continues to decrease.
This benefit will max out once the counter has reached 30.
There are no changes to the benefits this gear ability provides in Turf War matches.
Additionally, Murch or Spyke can replace the primary ability on a piece of headgear with Last-Ditch Effort by using 15 of each of the following ability chunks:
▼ Reduced the maximum amount of effect for the ability increase while the conditions are met from the equivalent of 2.4 primary abilities to 1.8 primary abilities.
Secondary abilities are the equivalent effect of 0.3 primary abilities.
