The Lightweight Cap is headgear in the Splatoon series.

In Splatoon, it is a 1-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Swim Speed Up. It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for Cash 700.

In Splatoon 2, it is a 1-star item produced by Inkline and comes with the primary ability Swim Speed Up. It can be purchased from Headspace for Cash 800 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for Cash 2,000.

Appearance

The Lightweight Cap is a simple, smooth cap that changes color to match that of the wearer's Ink. It is covered in a very subtle gray check pattern and has a small button, also gray, on both sides.

Abilities

The Lightweight Cap comes with Swim Speed Up as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Lightweight Cap comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Defense Up and a lower chance of rolling Damage Up to fill its secondary ability slot.

Abilities

The Lightweight Cap comes with Swim Speed Up as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 1-star item, the Lightweight Cap comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Inkline gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Bomb Defense Up DX and a lower chance of rolling Main Power Up to fill its secondary ability slot.
