Trivia

  • The theme of the Splatfest reflects the large Fox and Tanuki statues found in Inkopolis Plaza.
  • The change in battle multiplier from x2 to x6 in Version 2.2.0 changed the outcome of the second Red Fox vs. Green Tanuki event, as if the original x2 battle multiplier was used, it would have ended in a tie.
  • This was the only Splatfest to be repeated within the same region and within the same game. However, Splatoon 2 went on to repeat three other Japanese Splatfests in Japan (Squid vs. Octopus, Chocorooms vs. Chococones, and Airhead vs. Wisecracker).
