Version 2.8.0 is a revision to Splatoon that came into effect at Template:UTC on June 8th, 2016. It added Vol. 2 of Sheldon's Picks and makes many adjustments to weapons and stages.[1]
It directly follows the Version 2.7.0 update.

New Gear
2 new pieces of gear have been added, which will appear in the in-game shop at random. These new pieces of gear are in collaboration with CoroCoro Comic in Japan.

- Bluefin Depot: Fixed a problem where players could go inside a certain object in Rainmaker mode.
- Camp Triggerfish: Adjustment for detecting when you have brought the Rainmaker too far back towards your own starting area
- Piranha Pit: Adjustments to prevent players from taking certain shortcuts in all modes.
Multiplayer bug fixes
- Fixes an issue where players could jump higher than usual by touching an opponent's Splash Wall.
Other
- Adjustments have been made to make for a more pleasant gaming experience.
