This navbox template was recently significantly redesigned following a recent proposal; I'll use this talk page to list various inquiries concerning these navboxes that were brought up during the proposal's runtime. The affected adjusted or newly implemented navboxes are listed in the following table:
The inquiries:
- @FancyRat brought up a formatting issue that occurs with the brand navboxes in mobile view: some of the gear listings split their gear icon and gear link with a linebreak, which obstructs navigation. I'm in favor of investigating this, but styling edits like this aren't my forte.
- @WaferCaken brought up that the following example navbox organization would be neater than our current one. Swapping between the two systems would be very simple to automate, so this is a question of which system is preferred by most. I'm neutral on this topic.
- @Slate brought up the potential to implement gobblers as a means to tab between organization systems (ie. by type, by brand) within a single navbox; this option has a lot of potential for neatness, but is outside my capabilities and would basically be a separate large overhaul for all the newly-implemented gear navboxes.
- @Elusivek brought up that certain gear names don't highlight properly within the navboxes ie. on the page Enchanted Robe, the S3 navbox's listings for that gear piece doesn't highlight properly, as it lists alt-name redirects. I'm not sure how to remedy this.
- @Perfectionist @Driftin Soul and @Sourguppyworm brought up a need to link to lists of gear per specific navbox (ie. the S2 headgear navbox would include a "List of headgear in S2" link either on the top or the bottom of the navbox). I'm in favor of this.
- In general, if gear pages are found to load slower please notify me, as that was my main concern with the renovation (which has to do with the icons' addition rather than anything else).

- I think linking gear lists in navboxes is good also, but my main point was that I think we should also consider changing the link in infoboxes similarly. At present they link to redirects ("Headgear", "Clothing", and "Shoes") that all go to the general Gear page, which I feel is not all that terribly helpful and somewhat misleading for what the link text would appear to be; I think if someone clicks a link displaying "Headgear" they would expect some sort of info specifically about headgear.
- On another note, I'd be in favor of per-game sorting per Wafer's proposal.

- Oh whoops,seems I've misread; I'm in favor of that as well. Yoshifan52 (talk) 22:13, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- I remember I had accidentally done a few navbox edits like the system Wafer suggested. I did and still do feel it looks neater than the current system. I am also in favor of having it sorted by game.

- As it seems to be easy to automate, I have no issues with Wafer's proposed organization system; it makes intuitive sense and looks neater. The 'gobbler' idea sounds good in theory but, if implemented, would require a larger task force than we had for the initial edits. Elusivek (talk) 03:42, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- Do note, swapping to the proposed gobbler version most likely would be easy to automate. Yoshifan52 (talk) 20:05, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- In that case, I have no issues with the gobbler idea. Elusivek (talk) 23:17, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
