Absorbency and You is the 17th level in Splatoon 3's story mode, Return of the Mammalians.
Description
To reach the goal the player must make use of sponges.
Access
The level is just a short walk away from the previous level, requiring the player to clear Fuzzy Ooze.
Walkthrough
Note: Due to the level having no fee, you may retry from checkpoints as many times as you want, even if you lose all your lives.
Checkpoint 1
The level starts with a walk to a launchpad. They have to walk and splat a sponge to go to the platform above. They then dodge a few Blobby Octotroopers and use the sponges and pillars as a barrier. The player climbs the sponge on the left and gets armor and a canned Tenta Missiles special. They can use it now to defeat the Blobby Octotroopers, or use it for later. The player climbs the sponge on the right and finds more Blobby Octotroopers. The player climbs and goes around the giant un-inkable pillar and finds more crates and Blobby Octotroopers. They go to the top and find crates and a sponge with a Blobby Octotrooper hiding on the top. Once they defeat it, they go to the next checkpoint.
Checkpoint 2
The player climbs sponges and finds a lot of Blobby Octotroopers. The player can use the Tenta Missiles that they saved or go all out and defeat them one by one, with a few crates behind them. The player finds more armor, and destroys more crates and Blobby Octotroopers, finding a sponge that will get them above, finding another Blobby Octotrooper, then filling a few more sponges, finding another Blobby Octotrooper, and finding a crate that’s unreachable. After that, the player gets armor and moves on to the next checkpoint.
Checkpoint 3
The player walks and gets to the sponges, finding 3 Blobby Octotroopers close together, having to dodge them, and more of them come. The player finds a canned Trizooka special that will help them defeat the Blobby Octotroopers in front of them. Using the sponges as shields, the player succeeds and finds a sponge that will lead them to the goal.
