O.R.C.A. describing the stage

Relic Restoration is the 10th level in Splatoon 3's story mode, Return of the Mammalians.

Description

This level takes place on a single large island. A large moai statue replica stands in the center of the island, which the player must completely cover in ink. Four octagonal propeller lifts are spaced around the edges of the island.

Access

Near What Caused the Big Bang? YOU!, there is a climbable wall that is covered in Fuzzy Ooze. Go behind it and climb up to the higher point in this site. Go a few steps back at that altitude, and you'll find the level.

Walkthrough

Checkpoint 1

The player enters the level and has to ride a Ride Rail to get to the island. They then have to fully cover the moai with ink using the Explosher. Once more than 20% of the statue has been inked, O.R.C.A. will provide the player with two layers of floating platforms surrounding the statue, allowing them to more easily paint areas not accessible from the ground. The propeller lifts can be used to navigate these platforms. Once the statue is sufficiently inked, a launchpad will appear on the ground that leads the player to the goal. Once the player has super jumped to the area with the goal, the floating platforms will lower, allowing for a better view of the completed statue. Climbing to the top of the statue will reward the player with a Power Egg pack.

During the mission:
Agent 2
And I thought Callie had a big head!
Agent 1
I guess you're just supposed to ink it up? I don't ask questions.
O.R.C.A.
You have inked in excess of 20 percent of all surface area. Perhaps some platforms will help with the rest.
Agent 2
You aren't afraid of heights, are you? Agent 3?
Agent 1
I'd say you're about halfway there. Keep it up!
Agent 1
Keep it up! Cover as much as you can with ink!
Agent 2
Who taught Agent 3 to ink this well? Surely it wasn't Agent 1...
Agent 1
What's THAT supposed to mean?!
Agent 1
Hey, nice work! Really good coverage.
Agent 2
Actually...yeah! Looks good.

Before the mission:
(During this mission you will get familiar with the sport extreme face painting.)
(Explosher: Spout ink over a great distance effectively with the explosive shots of the Explosher.)
During the mission:
(And here I am thinking Callie has such a large head!)
(It looks to me like you simply have to make a mess of the whole thing? Okay, I don't ask questions.)
(You have covered more than 20 percent of the surface area. Perhaps these platforms will help with the rest.)
  • "Je hebt toch geen hoogtevrees, agent 3... Toch?"
(Surely you don't have a fear of heights, Agent 3... Right?)
  • "Ik denk dat je ongeveer halverwege bent. Ga zo door!"
(I think you are about halfway done. Keep this up!)
  • "Hou vol! Bedek zoveel als je kunt met inkt!"
(Hold on! Cover as much as you can with ink!)
(From whom has Agent 3 learned to paint so well? Must not have been from Agent 1...)
  • "Wacht... Wat bedoel je daar nou weer mee?!"
(Wait... What do you mean by that this time?!)
  • "Hé, mooi werk! Hele nette dekking."
(Hey, nice work! Very proper cover.)
  • "Dat... ziet er best goed uit!"
(That... looks quite good!)
