The Spirit Lifter: Steerage is the fourth section in the finale leading up to the final boss in Return of the Mammalians.

Description

To get to the next section in the finale, the player will have to go up a spiraling ramp, with Octarians, Fuzzy Ooze, and canned specials present.

Walkthrough

Checkpoint 1

This section starts off with a spiral platform with Fuzzy Ooze and Octarians scattered about. Taking out the waves of enemies will lead to the next checkpoint.

Checkpoint 2

From here, the premise still remains the same: climbing up and wiping out hordes of Octarians in the process. Ink wheels, a Crab Tank, and an Octocommander are also present.

Checkpoint 3

Using the provided Inkrail to continue, the player will make it back to solid ground. Later on, there is a jump that requires the player to ink the wall in front to climb it.

Final Checkpoint

Fuzzy Ooze covers even more of the ground this time, requiring precision movement. A path needs to be inked on a large wall to progress. After that, Octoballers roll down the spiral, requiring the player to step to the side as they advance. An Ultra Stamp, however, allows the player to plough through the remaining Octoballers and to the end of the section.
