The Jellyvader Cap is headgear in the Splatoon series.
In Splatoon 2, it is a 3-star item produced by Skalop and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Sub). It can be purchased from Headspace for 10,000 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for 15,000.
In Splatoon 3, it is a 2-star item produced by Skalop and comes with the primary ability Ink Saver (Sub). It can be obtained through leveling up the Chill Season 2022 Catalog to level 17, or it can be purchased from Naut Couture for 10,000 from SplatNet 3 Shop for 15,000.
Appearance
The Jellyvader Cap is a black leather flat-bill cap. On the front are two light blue, pixelated jellyfish, which change color to match the player's current ink color, along with the Skalop logo embroidered on the back. A white sticker of the logo is placed under the bill. In Splatoon 3, the cap can be rotated to instead face backwards using the 'Adjust Gear' feature.
Splatoon 2
Abilities
The Jellyvader Cap comes with Ink Saver (Sub) as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 3-star item, the Jellyvader Cap comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Skalop gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Quick Respawn and a lower chance of rolling Special Saver to fill its secondary ability slots.
Splatoon 3
The Jellyvader Cap returned in the Chill Season 2022 update on 1 December 2022.
Abilities
The Jellyvader Cap comes with Ink Saver (Sub) as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 2-star item, the Jellyvader Cap comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Naut Couture for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Skalop gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Quick Respawn and a lower chance of rolling Special Saver to fill its secondary ability slots.
