An Ink Switch.

Not to be confused with Splat-Switches or Switches.

Ink Switches, written as ink switches in Splatoon 3, are a mechanic in Octo Canyon, Shifty Station, the Octo Expansion, and Return of the Mammalians.

They appear to be den-den daiko (Japanese pellet drums) with targets painted on them. When hit with ink, they spin in one direction which usually moves a connected platform or another object. Once left alone, they will start winding back to the moved object's original location.
