Army is a stern, straightforward Inkling who prides himself on his team's ability to counter any possible move their opponents can make, due to the data collected in their manuals. His reliance on this method leads him and his team to become confused when Goggles stops in the middle of the match to eat curry, leading to his team's defeat. Due to his strict personality, he tends to butt heads with his fellow S4 members Mask and Aloha.

Trivia
He becomes very obsessed with curry after his fight against Team Blue and therefore he carries a curry cookbook.
For this reason Goggles often calls him "Captain Curry".
He is replaced by Rider after he gets attacked by bees in Volume 9, similarly to Specs.
He is the first member of the S4.
His team's tactic is known as "Squid Net Manual", which is a manual with all of their battle tactics written in it. He and his team use it to understand and counter their opponents' tactics.
