Riptide Rupture is a song performed by Ink Theory.
Description
Riptide Rupture is one of the five multiplayer songs released in Splatoon 2 Version 2.0.0. Like all battle songs, it has a random chance of being played during online matches. Riptide Rupture is an intense jazz/samba fusion piece, predominantly featuring intense piano chords, alongside a trumpet at the forefront, backed by the bass guitar, electric guitar, drums, and other percussion parts. Aside from a brief scat solo, the song mostly features no vocals, though it does feature a kazoo at a couple of parts in the song. The song was first heard on the SplatoonJP Twitter[1] and Live from Squid Research Lab Tumblr[2] on November 22, 2017, alongside Broken Coral. It was the second song played in the video. It can also be heard in Squid Beatz 2, with a maximum score of 266 and 299 in Normal and Hard modes, respectively.
