Seafoam Shanty is one of the five multiplayer songs released in Splatoon 2version 2.0.0. Like all battle songs, it has a random chance of being played during online matches. It is a fast-paced Celtic punk piece, featuring an intro with a heavy emphasis on the fiddle. The intro leads into the chorus, with vocals in the Inkling language sung by Tangle Feeder. This leads into a brief guitar section, with various chants of "Hey!" before a brief break with vocals and alternating guitar and fiddle solos. The chorus repeats, now with backing vocals, before the song loops. The song was first heard during the trailer for Splatoon 2 version 2.0.0. It can also be heard in Squid Beatz 2, with a maximum score of 332 and 529 in Normal and Hard modes, respectively. In Splatoon 3, this song can sometimes play in the lobby.

Etymology
