Description
#8 regret is an eerie, mysterious-sounding track heard in several Octo Expansion stations featuring 8-balls. It has a consistent, drummed rhythm throughout the whole song, symbolically using pool ball sounds, with a choppy tune coming in at the beginning. It is then layered on top of by a much smoother melody, which is replaced later on with a lighter, softer version. Afterwards, the whole track loops, but with a few added lower notes in the background.
Etymology
Regret may refer to the melancholic tone of the song, while the "8" in the title may refer to the 8-ball, the main feature of the stations the song is heard in, and the usage of pool ball sounds in the song. It may also reference the song's BPM being 80.
