Undertow is a song performed by Wet Floor.

Description

Undertow is a rock song with electronic elements, featuring heavy usage of bass and guitar, forming quintuplets of notes throughout the song. The song features deep vocals in the Inkling language at the start, before switching to higher spoken vocals in the middle. The chorus makes heavy usage of synthesizer, with brief vocal breaks. It is one of the multiplayer themes included in Splatoon 2 at launch, with a random chance of playing during a match. It can also be heard in Squid Beatz 2, with a maximum score of 124 and 291 in Normal and Hard modes, respectively. It was also featured in the Inkoming! EP album, released by Tower Records.

The song is also featured in the soundtrack for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate where it has a chance of playing on Moray Towers once unlocked. It can also be heard in the Sounds section in the Vault menu.

Undertow (Splatoon 2 Global Testfire)

An alternate version of Undertow was heard during the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire. Unlike the final version, it does not utilize live instruments, and features different, less filtered vocals.
